In October 2007 SAP completed the acquisition of Business Objects.

The Profit Application suite, based on EPO as developed by ALG in the UK, was integrated by Business Objects in the EPM suite when they purchased ALG UK in December 2006.  Subsequently, SAP purchased Business Objects, and renamed it Profitability and Cost Management (PCM).
